Calculations stay on your device
Every calculation on this site runs in your browser. The voltages, currents, conductor sizes and lengths you enter are never transmitted to a server, never logged, and never stored beyond your own browser session.
What is stored locally
One thing: your light or dark theme choice, saved in your browser’s local storage under the key vds-theme. It never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it. If storage is unavailable (private browsing, blocked site data), the site falls back to your system preference and everything else works normally.
Calculator links
The calculator encodes your inputs in the page URL so a calculation can be bookmarked or shared. That URL contains only the values you entered (a voltage, a current, a wire size) and nothing identifying. It is created in your browser; sharing it is entirely your choice.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies.
Analytics
No analytics provider is currently connected. The code contains a seam where one could be added later; if that happens, this page will be updated before it goes live, and any events would describe the shape of a calculation (which system type, which unit), never the values entered and never anything about the person entering them.
Third-party requests
Fonts and every other asset are served from this site’s own domain. There are no third-party scripts, no embedded widgets, no advertising and no tracking pixels.
Server logs
The hosting provider serving these pages may keep standard access logs (IP address, request time, user agent) as part of operating the service. That is outside this site’s control and is not used for tracking.
